My dreams...

" Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. " ~ Mark Twain

My reminder sits atop my PC: DREAM everyday!!

I am and always will be a dreamer.

I dream of our future together on the road.

I dream of seeing our children/parents/siblings for weeks at a time.

I dream of exploring more of this country than I thought possible.

I dream of living life without regrets.

I dream of making new life long friendships.

I dream of a simpler life.

I dream of learning new skills.

I dream of volunteering and making a difference in the lives of others.

What do you dream of?

  1. It's interesting that none of your dreams are about "things", but rather about loved ones and living a fulfilling life. At this age mine are very similar - centered around giving myself permission to celebrate the simplest joys.
I believe those who don't dream are never truly awake. Great post :-)

    1. Yes, I wonder if it an age thing too. Some of my friends can relate and yet others are stuck in the house/job/stationary life routine.
I like your saying and I always want to be dreaming!

  2. I'll try a few:

I dream of seeing family for longer periods of time, no matter where they live.

Driving away from things and people who can be frustrating.

Working at jobs I enjoy rather than because they pay the bills and were at one time an important time of my life.

Not having to mow the lawn, trim the trees and about every other thing dealing with owning a sticks and bricks house.

Meeting new - fulltime RV living - friends

Seeing the country - in slow motion rather than racing through on a vacation. Oh, I mean having time to actually take a vacation, just much longer.

Spending more time with my wife, experiencing things for the first time - together.

    1. AWESOME dreams Mark!! I can relate to them all.
Perhaps we'll meet up on the road one day. I think we have a similar mindset...

  3. I concur Mark! Your second dream is a big one for me too. After living in the same house and working at the same location (not a very good location either) for 25 years, I am so ready to get away from this area...meet new people and see new things.

  4. Hello you two! I can't believe I didn't know you had a blog until now! I've got some reading to do to catch up. I like John Lennon's, "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one". I dream of hiking more mountains and paddling more rivers and discovering more nature! Can't wait until you get out here!
